My siblings are a lot older and have never been close. At their age I really didn't have anyone I could simply hand out and be myself with. I'm ever-so-slightly envious, but mostly glad for them. A close sibling counts for a lot in life.

I did the annual measurement before we left the cottage this afternoon. They're both about 5'1¼'", but Brenna is about one-eighth of an inch taller, and I would guess she has another inch yet to grow.

Funny you should say that. I tend to think Marian has more of my features and her mother's colouring, while Brenna is the reverse. Here I definitely see what you mean, especially about the eyes when she smiles.

Brenna has really grown quite a bit lately. Even not having met them, I'm sort of used to how Marian has turned into a young woman, but wow, Brenna's blossoming too.
