The Ring

Though not a particular Wagner fan, I would dearly love to attend the new Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts this week, where the Canadian Opera Company is presenting Canada's first performance of The Ring of the Nibelung as an inaugural celebration. An epic drama of cosmological proportions—the production must be spectacular—it would be worth seeing. I didn't plan to do this, but it was on the radio when I drove home from OOTS, so I've tuned in the live performance of the first opera Das Rheingold, live on CBC Radio Two.
