Fellowship, love, peace
Oct. 3rd, 2006 11:19 amNot much time to post today. Yesterday I met
machineplay for a writing session, and realized it has been 10 years since I met her and
themage. They have a daughter Brenna's age. We talked writing. We wrote. We talked some more. We nearly started doing this years ago, but life prevented it. We've both been through a lot, and perhaps come out stronger and richer for it. I've been needing regular time with another local writer, and I'm ready now. I can talk to her about the process of writing Pilgrim's Cross in ways I choose not to express in the performance mode of LJ. We plan to meet on Mondays.
ubermunkey brought this bell to the cottage when he visited in May. I set it down, planning to find a place to hang it. My parents found it and liked it, so they bought the wrought-iron hook and hung it beside the cottage door. Now whenever I enter there, I am reminded of love.
Also, there is the serenity of Lake Fletcher on a September morning, a source of healing and joy that sinks into my bones and stays there wherever I go.

The bell makes me happy. I can see the side of the cottage, and the thought of your family enjoying it makes me smile.
The lake it hums to me of peace and constancy.

My love with you,
