Rats

In other news, today I got to hold Kiki, machineplay's rat, rather her daughter mysticsunrise's rat. She chittered happily, nestled behind my goatee and tickled my neck with her whiskers. I was enchanted, and understood immediately why ghostsandrobots dreams about her rats. Rats have such clever, fond faces.

how sociable rats are. And Tippy, our current rat, is a very particular beastie, re-decorating her cage every few days.

I've never owned one, but the few I've met have all struck me as very sociable. Quite a few of my LJ friends have them, and all seem very attached to them.
