Mirror vest

I am home again. It has been an enjoyable but busy vacation, and I've returned to a busy work week, so it will take me a little time to catch up with correspondence. Also, I'm planning a trip to Atlanta in early August.

This is my most ambitious knitting project completed so far, a "mirror vest" for Mom from a pattern by the Knitting Fiend. The yarn is wool-silk Iro from Noro.

I unexpectedly had the morning free, but now must leave for work. I hope to post much more about the past few days.

Wow, that is cool. What is your itinerary? I was planning to ask you, because I might drive down, in which case I'd like to stop in Pittsburgh, but I'm open to anything. I'm working on something like August 3 to 13, but nothing is pinned down yet.

It's very pretty! I'm guessing it's called a mirror vest because each side is the mirror image of the other? Though I admit I was expecting to see you had worked in some of those little mirrors one sees in some Indian clothing!

Yes, exactly. The vest is worked from the front, around one side to the back, and around again to the front, with each quater round mirroring the other three.
