I haven't had time to write about it, but on August 29 I—along with Marian, Brenna, Danny and Sonny—saw Rufus Wainwright in concert at a modest auditorium in London, Ontario. What a fabulous show! Barely three-quarters of the seats were filled. Well, London is a bit of a backwater. I suppose Rufus is over their heads.

It was a work day for Danny and Sonny. I drove insanely, about 130 kph (80 mph) to get from Toronto to London in two hours. We had to take them back to Toronto again after the concert, returning to Guelph at 3:30 a.m. More insanity. But the event was worth it, most memorable.

On September 21 Moe, Les and I plan to see Loreena McKennitt at Centre in the Square, Kitchener.
