It's funny how a planting a vegetable garden changes one's attitude about the weather. Lately I've been whining about the lack of rain.

Today the skies opened up. I haven't seen hail in years, but just now we're in the midst of the second hailstorm of this afternoon. The view from my front door:

Me too, and Ontario is a good place for it. I dislike the bitter winters and humid summers, but if I moved away I guess I'd miss the variety.

Well it was small hail! The vegetables don't appear to have taken any damage, and they will be happier for the heavy rain.
