Bon voyage

vaneramosThis morning I drove Sylvie to Pickering, an eastward suburb of Toronto, whence she has begun a 10-day bicycle trip to Ottawa. Bon voyage, mon amie! Now I must prepare for my own departure tomorrow morning to work eight or nine days on David and Jane's cottage in Point Clark, near Kincardine.
Funny how Sylvie and I started a garden together thinking that one of us could look after it whenever the other took holidays, and now we're both away at the same time just as zucchini season begins. Fortunately, Jaye and Christine offered to look after it.
I probably won't have much internet access while I'm away, but I'm looking forward to taking scads of photos along the Lake Huron beach. I'll see you in 10 days.
