Light

The sun is beginning to rise later, and now I have to leave for work earlier. There's barely enough light for me to take photographs in the morning. The hydrangea was shot across the street at sunrise yesterday.

So I have moved my daily walk and photo session to after work. This is good for other reasons, too. It gives me time to start writing morning pages again, and offers the opportunity to stop on the way home from work and photograph different places.

Today's journal photo was taken in Fergus, by the Grand River. I was inspired to stop there because all the rivers are swollen by record rainfall.

I don't know how my creative routine will continue to adjust to the pinch of daylight. In another four months, the sun will set around the time I leave work.

Smooches love. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next few months brings from your walk. We might get some really interesting nocturnal pictures - long exposures.

I've considered that, too. I just don't know whether I'd have the patience to do it day after day. But I'll think of something.
