6 Changes revised
Feb. 22nd, 2010 03:12 pmFor years I have wanted to learn to weave. Danny is giving me his floor loom and encouraging me to take the five-day Basic Weaving course at Haliburton School of Arts in July, so I want to take the opportunity. In order to concentrate on developing a new skill, I'm going to replace one item on my original list of 6 changes for 2010. "Cultivate healthier thought habits," gets the boot, because this entire process seems to be achieving that purpose. Here I'm also deciding a sequence.
- Jan/Feb: Focus daily on creative writing
- Mar/Apr: Establish and maintain a budget
- May/Jun: Exercise daily
- July/Aug: Learn to weave
- Sep/Oct: Plan and prepare healthy meals
- Nov/Dec: Read daily
I purposely chose the habit I wanted the most for January, and it has gone pretty well. I purposely chose the most challenging habit for March, hoping to carry forward my energy and optimism. Next post I'll contemplate a course of action for Number 2.
