I was filmed at Ed Video recently, recording a recital of my poem, "Patchwork". It was originally posted on Guelph Spoken Word channel along with a film of my friend Beth Anne doing Gender martinis.

How absolutely great to see you in action!

Date: 2010-04-12 11:11 pm (UTC)I didn't want to do this recording session, but Beth Anne hounded me, so I agreed. Actually I found it a lot better performing in front of a camera than a large audience. Maybe because I've modeled for a lot of still photography and enjoyed the experience. Anyway, I found it a lot easier to get unstuck from the words and concentrate on how I wanted to express them. The guy who filmed the session was an excellent coach, too. I could tell the moment I walked into the studio, he picked up on certain of my qualities and worked with them.
