Jem: "Just a ride". Good time to listen. This week has been potentially devastating. Few things have been further from my mind than exercise. Even my morning routine fell into disrepair for a couple days, but I got back on track with that today.
I need the exercise, too, now as much as ever. Sunday evening I lifted weights (abs, chest and back), nothing Monday, walked downtown and back Tuesday, nothing again yesterday.
Today after work I lifted weights again (abs, triceps and biceps) accompanied by my upbeat play list. After physical exertion elevated my heart rate it came down naturally, instilling a sense of calm. Meanwhile A Fine Frenzy and Spirit of the West released knots in my brain. Small blessings.
Tomorrow I'll go for a walk after work. Saturday I'll work abs, shoulders and thighs. That's the plan.
