This weekend while Danny was busy e-commuting I washed two large loads of dishes by hand, did laundry, phoned Marian and Kerri, emailed Brenna, went to market, spent several hours warping, and baked an awfully delicious blueberry crisp. When Danny was able to take breaks from work, we watched two movies and played three games of Cities and Knights of Catan. Despite all this I developed the anxious, slightly guilty feeling I accomplished "not much of anything". It's particularly ironic considering I've frequently whined about not having enough time this summer to simply relax and do "not much of anything".

Danny was just going out the door to catch the 7:10 bus when work called. He had to sit down and fix something. By then it was too late. The next bus was 9:20. So after finishing the job, he wanted to walk to The Boathouse and get ice cream. We did.

This Speed River scene is one of the things I love about Guelph.

The thing is, I didn't get away. That's part of the reason I had a hard time really relaxing, because in the back of mind there are always so many things that need to be done around here. On the other hand, I've been away so much, I really needed a weekend at home.

Yes, thank you for telling me. Someone tried to hack my Facebook last night, too, but the site recognized it probably wasn't me and sent me an email. I've changed all my passwords.
