Song for a Winter's Night
Dec. 7th, 2010 10:56 pmWe performed this on a fine evening last May when neighbours from across the street wandered into the front of the church to hear two queer choruses singing together. The memory warms me on this cold winter night. The Gordon Lightfoot song was one of my favourites from the Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo-Wellington's repertoire, partly because we basses had a nice solo at the beginning, partly because it's a beautiful piece. Here we joined with Singing Out! in Toronto. You can't see me; I'm standing precisely behind someone, in the back row. Thanks, Jon, for pointing this out.
