Second thoughts

I have second thoughts about the changes anticipated in the previous post. Renovation of the old LJ entries is turning out to be too ungainly. Besides, I feel emotional resistance to quitting my personal uses for LJ and putting them all over to FB. What this probably means is that I will start a nature writing blog elsewhere on WordPress or Blogger.

I like this idea.

Facebook is okay, but I tend to miss a lot of what's happening since the feed keeps moving as people update.

I use a custom list on FB (much like a friends filter on LJ) to make it easier to keep up-to-date with close friends and family members.

That's what I ended up doing for my public writing, too. You can create a feed for it in LJ (so friends here can/could follow along easily) and also use Networked Blogs in FB (which will then allow strangers to follow without being your friend and have your posts show up on your regular page for your FB friends).
