Lots of cleaning and reorganizing happened this weekend. Friday night before Danny arrived I gave the kitchen, bathroom and half the front room a solid housecleaning of the kind that was impossible in the previous state of clutter. This afternoon I dealt with another big mess: the table in my bedroom that has contained a heap of clean laundry ever since last summer. Before the table was there, the heaps sat on the floor. As of today, the table is clear and so is the floor, except for storage boxes stowed neatly under the furniture. All the laundry has been put away. Now another category of clutter becomes apparent on top of the dresser and bureau. I'll handle that in due course, but next weekend I plan to tidy the living room and finally take a stab at the pile of boxes in my office.

Good for you! I am inspired by your efforts and have been following the take-one-out approach to walking around the house. Basically, every time I change rooms I try to take something out of or into the rooms and put it away. Makes for slow travel, but what else do I have to do, really? :>
