Remarkably, I think my father looks younger than I do now, but he is at least five years older in this picture. At 70 he is still a handsome man. I have a better hairline, though.

Your hair is perfectly exciting. And don't knock grey until you try it; on medium/dark blonds like us, it can look pretty damn fine. I'll prove it to you when I trek in your direction.

I guess it's just my resistance to change. I used to be a golden blond with a relatively dark beard with copper highlights. Now it's all just brown and I'm sulking. My brother who has the same colouring just sortuv faded and looked oldish. In fact he was often mistaken for my dad's brother.

Instead of griping, I guess I should just believe you.

So when are ya coming? ;-)

Actually I'm not doing much complaining these days. I'm in a happy spot.

I was a golden blond for a long time too. I was slowly darkening until the grey took over.

I notice I'm getting little age spots here and there. They sort of freak me out. I used to be mostly unblemished. Now I've even got marks on my perfect precious face.

Except ... people still seem to like me. In fact, along with guys our own age and older guys, I now seem to get attention from younger guys as well. (I know, there are more "younger than me" guys every day ... but still!)

So, what can I say? Aging is going to happen ... the alternatives are a) death, no thanks right now, and b) looking faintly ridiculous by trying to stay too young, which I will only contemplate if I'm certain there's some incredible stud who has the bad taste to enjoy that sort of thing, and then I'd merely reel him in long enough to educate him out of it. :)

I was at a party a couple of years back where another guy made a fantastic observation about the fact that he was going bald: "unlike my straight brothers, I know for a fact that many balding men are very attractive, because they attract me." I've tried to remember that I find many older guys hot and not worry about my worry lines, age spots, and graying hair.
