Tonight my daughters are coming for a first visit to this home. Turkey is in the oven. This is the first time since Marian and Brenna were both wee that I have lived in a house. Cleaning today makes me happy because it is not an impossible battle against clutter. It feels like pleasure to make up beds for them in proper rooms with privacy and space; to prepare food in a friendly kitchen. Kerri looks after Marian. She helps pull family plans together. She sends appreciative text messages that make me weepy.
