I've really enjoyed writing a poem a day in February and I'm tempted to continue for another two months, since April is National Poetry Month in Canada and the U.S. The only downside is that I have hardly found any time to write fiction, which was going madly beautiful in January. I'm not sure what I will do. For that matter, if I had to choose one or the other for the rest of my life, I don't know what I would do. Maybe trying to do both prevents me from dedicating myself to either? For the moment, I'll take January and February as an improvement over all 2013 put together, and comfort in not having to make such a terminal choice.

I guess a poem a day is rather intense? Does it have to be all or nothing?

It's a matter of structuring my time just enough to focus and remind me what I want to do, but not so much that I can't stick to it easily. A poem a day is an easy ritual to remember. Maybe I just need to adapt it to "some creative writing every day."
