A letter, a word,
all words come around
anoint the tongue again

Baleful bards we
beat our breasts
before day breaks

Cease to celebrate
can they carry us
captains of causation

Deciding to do what
dreadful deeds
demand of destiny

Elusive, they even
enmesh our enemies
erudition elapses

Find them forever
forced not feeble
frank not fraudulent

Give them grace
or greed they’ll gain
gentle they seldom go

Has ever human
heard such heart-held
holiness

I long for an instant
inside, no idleness
imbued with irony

Jay and jackal
join jubiliation
joke and jibe

King or knave must
keep the knowledge
knotted together, kill nothing

Lose none of your language
let it live
lips must not lie

My memory
melts in the mist
mumbled meaning

Now night falls
naked are my nouns
no one else notices

Or is it obvious
only one thought
opens an oral renewal

Poetry
persuasive present passion
purest possession

Queen of quests
queerly quickly
quashes all queries

Returning with rhythm
race to reality
recite these rhymes

Slowly sensually
so no one supposes
severe stupidity

Take this thought
to every last town
thread it with truth

Unearth their umbrage
utter understanding
unique universal

Value the verbs
vibrant and virtuous
vanquishing vanity

Wherever you wander
with each word
wash the willing minds

Xylem flows water, xebecs sail
Xerxes triumphs
exhort xeric xenophobes

Yielding belongs to yesterday
yell your lyrics
yearn as a youth

Zoom with verbal zoology
zest and zeal
zaniness matters like zero

I will confess that I read with bated breath to see how you would handle the 24th stanza. Very nicely done.

Haha! It wasn't as hard as the verses for some of the moderately useful letters that needed to make some sense. F through K were the hardest, then I got my stride.
