It is difficult to get the technical to be vivid.
Good apposition of latinate and A-S lexical elements.
I applaud this poem.

Yesterday ghostsandrobots and I were discussing how we're both poetically inspired my astronomical phenomena. I said I would pull some of my old ones out. Your post this morning put me further in mind of it. I found one I wrote in November 1995, from which this new one is heavily revised.

Interesting to see the progression in style over time. I will probably talk a bit more about this when I have more energy to read them in depth.
