Many of you will have heard about Eighteen Men, but I want to put out the word, too. It's an eighteen-month calendar featuring portraits of men. Proceeds from sales will go to
Supporting Our Youth, a program for queer youth in Toronto. This fundraising project was conceived by Sean Cribbin, Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2005.
The eighteen portraits were taken by
bitterlawngnome. I am one of the models. The photographs are erotic but not pornographic; there is no frontal nudity. The calendar runs from January 2006 to June 2007. These would make great Christmas gifts. Prints are also available.
Models will attend signing events at various venues to promote the calendar this fall, namely O'Grady's Tap and Grill,
The Black Eagle, and
Priape. Two were held in August while I was travelling, but I plan to attend several in October and November. Next one is this Friday at O'Grady's at 10 p.m., and I'll be there.
Some photographs also appear in two shows. Timothy's coffee pub at 500 Church Street is hosting the images now until November 13. Later they'll be presented at
Come As You Are, at 701 Queen Street West.
