I remember swans flying over a wet, black field at eye level. Must have been a dream, because it didn't happen. Maybe it's a nudge from my self-conscious to drive to Long Point and see the real tundra swans, or follow any of numerous migratory bird notices landing in my inbox from Ontbirds.

Not today. Figures I would feel crappy on the first genuine spring day. My friends barely made it out the door last night before, whoosh, everything I had eaten yesterday came pouring out the bottom. Something disagreed with my stomach.

Today I feel gross only because I neglected to rehydrate and, in my way, continue forgetting. I went out to meet J at The Bookshelf and finally drank two glasses of water and some black currant juice, which reduced the headache.

It would be a perfect day for a long walk, but this weather is supposed to continue into tomorrow, so hopefully my flesh will grow more willing.

R just called from Toronto. He sounded lonely and has tomorrow off, so I invited him out for the night. Guess I better get myself in gear. Good thing I've been catching up on housework the past couple days.
