Marian's head-hugger

Brenna's beanie
I discovered that the rust armchair is comfortable enough, so I spent most of last evening there finishing Brenna's beanie, quickest project yet: I cast on and knitted several rows the night before, but otherwise completed it in one day. I mostly used Noro Silk Garden colour number 44, but patched in some shades of red and chartreuse Danny had left from another colour. The pattern is free online.

The back pain had improved this morning, but it's getting bad again. Writing at my desk hurts. Keyboarding hurts. Knitting is okay, but I'm tired of sitting in that chair. After posting, I intend to lie down and continue Interview with the Vampire. It's alarming what it takes to get me reading.
I will be cooking Christmas dinner at my parents' place again this year. I wanted to plan the menu today (Mom requested duck), but browsing is just about the worst thing I can do (reaching forward is agonizing), so project must wait.
Heather called to ask if I could go into the office early tomorrow, 9 a.m. I said I would. I hope I'm feeling better.

Date: 2005-12-13 02:03 am (UTC)Circular needles are a lot of fun. Some people hate them, but I use them for pretty much all my work. Those and DPNS. I rarely use straight needles these days.
