Arrived home safely a couple hours ago. The trip provided many beautiful moments and experiences, but quality time with these friends was far and above the best part.

I miss you all already.

Another star of the show was the 2002 Sunfire. This is the second long road trip I've taken it on (the first was Canada's east coast in 2005) and it never missed a beat. It put on 3,476 km (2,160 miles). This was the first time I've kept track of mileage. It averaged 26.2 mpg (11.1 km/l) with the air conditioner running the entire time, and I spent $189.50 on gas. That's a pretty fair ticket to visit Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Knoxville and spend one morning on my own exploring the Great Smoky Mountains.

Me too. In this case I hope to improve on my correspondence habits. I learned more about myself in those two days than in the entire past year. It recharged me, and I want to continue that energy.

The best journeys are about people; from the looks of it, you had an excellent journey. I'm so glad to hear that.

Funny you should comment, Shimmer. Among other things, the dialogue with Jason has called me to reevaluate the whole Faerie thing, and it has been forefront in my thoughts these recent days.

I meant to post in response that I'm quite intrigued by your "revisiting" of this territory!

I don't suppose you're thinking of another visit to the Farm? I plan to go out for Thanksgiving again in Oct. I would love to show you the Spring which I never knew about when you were last there.

Hmm, Thanksgiving might be a consideration, but I'm concerned about Mom's health, and not able to make a commitment so soon.

What appeals to me about the Faeries are the values of intentional community, respect for nature, environmental responsibility, and simple living.
