Here are a few of my favourite things:

My old red canvas backpack from Kettle Creek Clothing Company, now out of business
a good, spiral-bound notebook
my Schaeffer fountain pen
a basket of chicken wings, mild
a pint of Strongbow cider (or perhaps a glass of red wine)
a table at the -bar

Ahhh, yes! Of course I have a difficult relationship with my current camera. All the things on this table are juuuust right. :-)

Someday I'll post a picture of my old Canon AE-1, which is held together with duct tape.

I'm just as stupid. When I read your original comment, I thought, "I know I had my camera there that day. It must have been in my bag."

It's funny we would both forget the camera is part of the picture. We both like taking pictures of ourselves, but a camera has a harder time taking its own self-portrait.

I'm not especially pleased with my digital camera because it offers so little control of focus, exposure and depth of field. I liked manipulating them so much I hardly ever used the automatic features on my Canon AE-1. But I'm grateful the Kodak DX3500 gives me the chance to shoot as many pictures as I want (I can't afford film), and I'm learning how to work creatively with its limitations.
